چکیده
The Basque pro-independence terrorist group ETA (an acronym for what translates to ‘Freedom the Country’) announced a definitive ceasefire in 2011. A year later, I began PhD on how conflict could be understood from life stories of activists. After completing my research, asked myself: What kind tensions emerged during interview process with activists who collaborated research taking into account family background and Spanish identity? Instead just appearing as bidirectional relation between narrator interviewer, inter-subjectivity reveals more powerful mechanisms it helps reveal hidden collective traumas population where I, historian, become part story.
